Package #1 : The Surf Package

We are located at one of the world’s best surfing locations, called “The Boom”. People travel from all over the world to surf here.   There are waves for all levels; from the experienced surfer to the beginner.     This excursion includes four hours of surfing with a private guide with a 4x4 and private surf lessons if needed. 

The full ascent of Volcan Cosiguina is 859 meters high. If you drive and park at the halfway mark, the walk will only take you about three hours. For the more adventurous person, you can park at the base and take the 8 hour hike.  The walk up is beautiful in itself, but the true treasure lies at the top of the peak: a glistening 2km diameter crater lake and views of not only Nicaragua, but of El Salvador and Honduras too! The hike is relatively easy, making it the perfect way to spend an afternoon immersed in nature.

 Enjoy up to 4 hours of horseback riding with an experienced, local guide who will greet you at Simply Unplugged.  You can take a ride along our beautiful beaches, explore local neighborhoods, or make a stop at your favorite restaurant….  The choice is yours! 

Enjoy a therapeutic one (1) hour massage poolside or in the luxury of your private cabana.  The choice is all yours!

Enjoy a great day at the beach at one of our many beautiful local beaches.  Nahualapa Beach is one of our favorite beaches and is great place to relax, swim, surf, and Unplug.  You can lounge on your own private canopy beach bed and enjoy the local vibe.   There are restrooms available onsite.

Enjoy a great day trip  to our local fishing village to visit the sea turtle hatchery.  You will learn about the important role that the  sea turtles play in  our oceans as well as what is being done to preserve them in Northern Nicaragua.  If you are lucky to be visiting during a release, we will release them right in our back yard.  

Enjoy a 1/2 day of exploring one of the local estuaries on a kayak or stand-up paddleboard.  You will get to see much of the wildlife in our area and navigate through the mangroves.  You can even choose to go for a sunrise or sunset adventure. Bioluminescent tours are also offered when available. .

Flor de Caña is the leading super premium rum in Central America and has been awarded as the best rum in the world.  The Flor de Caña Tour has received nearly 100,000 visitors since its inauguration, being one of the main places of interest in Nicaragua with a spectacular view of San Cristobal Volcano.  The tour received a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.  It is a fascinating journey through the history of this brand that has become over time the ambassador of Nicaragua to the world.  During the tour, which has six stations and can be covered in an hour and a half from start to finish, tourists will be able to taste and taste rum in its different stages, from its raw material to the final product.

Explore the inlet and the estuary in a Ponga Boat for up to four hours.  You can also go a few miles offshore to catch your dinner for the night.  Upon special request, a private charter tour can be arranged for additional charges.

We have partnered with a local organization called Amigos for Christ to volunteer in our local area.  There are opportunities to volunteer at a school, on a farm, or to help families receive clean drinking water.  It is definitely an experience that you will never forget!  This is a 6-8 hour excursion.  Lunch will be provided.

This excursion would include  a one-hour Yoga session with a local instructor.  We will schedule these on your preferred days and times. 

This is the only place in the world to experience sledding down an active volcano!  We will drive to the historic city of Leon to meet up with our volcano boarding tour guide. After a short drive to the volcano, you will start the 45 minute hike up to the summit.  You will experience the ride of a lifetime!!  You will need closed toed shoes to participate in this excursion. 

Spend a day in the historic city of Leon shopping or site-seeing.  Take advantage of an epic photo opportunity on top of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
